Silver Lining: The Prologue

A new singer, AQSARASHI, sets to debut with a catchy synth-pop song

Jakarta, February 11th, 2022 -- "Because every cloud has a silver lining..." is one of the line in 'Silver Lining`, Aqsarashi's debut song, that closely reflects his journey in music.

Born in 2000 into a house that well acquainted with a mix of science and art, Aqsarashi (usually called Arsyi) knew that he wanted to be a musician since he was a kid. He first discovered his love for singing at the age of 9 when his art teacher appointed him to be the vocalist for his school band and after that, Arsyi never stops trying to explore music more professionally. He was active as a vocalist of his school bands as well as choirs and vocal groups, joining several singing competitions and many more. After seeing so many setbacks together with the lack of time due to his study, Arsyi put his mind out of pursuing music for a few years.

The opportunity has finally came to him when his oldest sister took an interest in the music production and started her own music project for fun. As a result, 'Silver Lining' was born. However, she couldn't seem to find the right voice for the song and later gave it to Arsyi after convinced that the song suits him.

"At the beginning, I thought the song didn't fit me. It wasn't a genre that I'm used to. But after I took more time with the song and customised it to my style of singing, I grew to love it." explained Arsyi. "I finally can see what she envisioned and I realised that I shouldn't limit myself to one specific genre of music just because I'm used to it." Arsyi then goes onto revealing several difficulties that he faced during the production. "The whole thing [production] was also done by my sister who currently lives in Norway. So it sure gave another level of difficulties, especially with the time difference." he said. "It took us 3-4 months, but we managed to finish it."

'Silver Lining' is a synth-pop song that tells a story about the emotional journey of a seeker who can only rely on hope while facing the uncertainty. The emotional lyrics are interestingly embedded in a mid-tempo music aims to increase the feeling of excitement, while its melodious hooks charms the listeners and leave them feeling hopeful throughout their daily life. Arsyi hopes that 'Silver Lining' can enrich and bring a new nuance into the Indonesian music industry, and the listeners can enjoy listening to it as much as he does.

'Silver Lining' is officially released on February 11th, 2022 and available in more than 50 digital stores and streaming platforms all over the world, including Spotify, iTunes/Apple Music, Youtube, Deezer, Tidal, amazon, and many more.
